1446 BC Moses leads the Exodus back to Canaan
1400 BC Joshua defeats the Canaanites and Israel settles in the Promised Land
1300-1050 The Judges
1050-930 United Kingdom under Saul, David, and Solomon
930-605 Divided Kingdom of Israel and Judah 722 Assyria destroys the northern kingdom of Israel
605-536 Babylonian rule of Judah 586 BC Jerusalem destroyed by Babylon, survivors taken into captivity
536-330 Persian rule 515 BC second Temple rebuilt and finished-ministry of HAGGAI
