David’s Life Bible Study Lesson Plan
Lesson 1—“A Man After God’s Own Heart”, the great contrast between David and Saul. Saul was a man after the people’s heart, but David was a man after God’s heart. The climax of this contrast between a man of the people versus a man of God is the David and Goliath story.

Lesson 2—“The Blessings of Brokenness”, God removed all the crutches that David leaned on, one by one until God is the only ONE. David was twelve years as a fugitive pursued by the Special Forces Delta Regiment.
Lesson 3—“The Irresistible Object of Desire”, the David and Bathsheba story. David was middle age crazy, and Bathsheba was irresistible. Adultery, murder, and living in the year of the cover-up, and experiencing the discipline of the Lord.

Lesson 4—“Forgiven but Living with Consequences”, the death of David’s infant son, the rape of his daughter, and the rebellion of Absalom his beloved son. The art of finishing well in spite of life’s adverse circumstances.

This is a brown bag series so bring your own lunch. The location is at the Haggard party barn located on the NW corner of Windhaven and Parkwood just east of the Dallas North Tollroad. Doors will be open at 11:30 and Charlie will start teaching at 12:15.
